Haelo began trading on the 1st April 2013 as a hosted body of Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust with its own board of directors and financial accounts, assimilating a number of legacy contracts into its operations. Since then, we have developed a reputation nationally and internationally in the fields of innovation and improvement science.
Today, Haelo operates and works with a number of key strategic partners from across the city of Salford. We employ a team of around 40 staff, meet with our board bimonthly to review our programmes and are advised by an International Advisory Board, a network of global experts who advise on our strategic direction and provide ongoing commissioned support.
Our income is generated through 3 primary channels: investment from the partners; delivering commissioned contracts of work regionally and nationally; and research grants.
