It’s been another busy week here at Haelo. In ‘This Week’ Becky White, Communications Assistant, tells us what’s got the team chatting this week…

There are limited tickets available, please book now to avoid disappointment. The session will run 10am-4pm 13th July 2016; tickets cost £90 plus VAT. The event will include lunch and refreshments. See our events page to book your place.
This week, Haelo in partnership with Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust welcomed international visitor Jenny Parr, Director of Infection Prevention and Control and Associate Director of Nursing, Waitemata District Health Board, New Zealand.
Jenny has been leading the ward accreditation programme at Waitemata District Health Board, modelled in part on the Nursing Assessment and Accreditation System programme, or NAAS for short. NAAS is the (not so) secret ingredient, which caused the unique transformation of nursing culture and safety at Salford Royal – owned and developed by nurses. The focus of the Information and Knowledge Exchange visit included a tour of Salford Royal complete with an expert NAAS session from Lead Nurse, Corporate Services, Fiona Morris.
This event is for anyone who wants to learn more about human factors. The unique inter-agency aspect will focus attention on the subject common to all- the non-technical, human factors skills.
Researchers and lecturers will use their knowledge to show the evidence base for this subject, how it is continually developing and what we can learn from the latest studies into human performance.
Haelo welcomes two new starters to our ever growing team, Stuart Kaill (left) and Nigel Palmer (right). Stuart will be joining the Innovation team as a Project Manager, ‘supporting the Safer Salford programme with the aim of producing a roadmap to enable Salford to become the safest health and social care system in the UK by 2025 through implementation of the Measurement and Monitoring Safety (MMS) Framework.’
Nigel Palmer who joins the Business Unit as Associate Director of Business Development and Performance. ‘My role in Haelo is to help the business to grow, develop and flourish. I will ensure that everybody in the Haelo team has the opportunity to do the very best they possibly can in their role, which will enable them to excel and prosper in their area of expertise. This in turn will facilitate innovation and improvement in public services in Salford and beyond.’
This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced individual looking to work in a fast-paced, cutting-edge organisation. Based at NHS Salford Royal Foundation Trust, this post is permanent.
All the details here. Closing date is 30th June!
We are almost sold out as we continue to countdown to the return of Haelo Hosts. The 2 day event will bring together inspirational people with a will to positively influence the delivery of public services, restore hope and become an agent for change.
Speakers from around the world and across a variety of industries will take to the stage to show how they are daring greatly. They will share their experiences and learning, shining a light on how they break down barriers to improvement by showcasing practical examples.
