It’s been another busy week here at Haelo. In ‘This Week’ Becky White, Communications Assistant, tells us what’s got the team chatting this week…
Our Chief Executive, Professor Maxine Power, hosted a 4 part series: Introduction to Haelo and the System of Profound Knowledge Sessions. This week saw the first cohort graduate the insightful and inspiring programme. In the final session we discussed empowering staff by encouraging leadership at every level.
Participants will leave fully equipped with an improvement toolkit, complete with theory and practice examples. This one day workshop will suit those who wish to learn new skills or refresh their existing knowledge.
There are limited tickets available, please book now to avoid disappointment. The session will run 10am-4pm 13th July 2016; tickets cost £90 plus VAT. The event will include lunch and refreshments. See our events page to book your place.
You’ve set your aim and you are ready to fire – how do you decide what changes you are going to make that will result in an improvement?
The latest in Maxine Power’s blog series explores how selecting the right combination of changes is a tricky business and gives her 5 top tips for selecting the right changes. We encourage any comments you may have on the topic. You can read the rest of Maxine’s blogs at the related links at the bottom of the blog.
This event is for anyone who wants to learn more about human factors. The unique inter-agency aspect will focus attention on the subject common to all- the non-technical, human factors skills.

Researchers and lecturers will use their knowledge to show the evidence base for this subject, how it is continually developing and what we can learn from the latest studies into human performance.
