Our Chief Executive, Professor Maxine Power, hosted a 4 part series: Introduction to Haelo and the System of Profound Knowledge Sessions. This week saw the first cohort graduate the insightful and inspiring programme. In the final session we discussed empowering staff by encouraging leadership at every level.

Demystifying Improvement

There is still time to get your tickets for the unmissable expert training session with Prof Maxine Power to be held at thestudio, Manchester, on the 13th July 2016.

Participants will leave fully equipped with an improvement toolkit, complete with theory and practice examples. This one day workshop will suit those who wish to learn new skills or refresh their existing knowledge.

Human Factors Conference

This event is for anyone who wants to learn more about human factors. The unique inter-agency aspect will focus attention on the subject common to all- the non-technical, human factors skills.

Talks delivered by industry professionals will introduce human factors principles and illustrate application to the practical work place.

Researchers and lecturers will use their knowledge to show the evidence base for this subject, how it is continually developing and what we can learn from the latest studies into human performance.

This week we were delighted, along with Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, to welcome visitors from from St John of God Health Care, Australia.

The Information & Knowledge Exchange Visit included a welcome and overview from Haelo and SRFT, including a tour of the hospital. The group covered a range of topics, personally selected, which included: corporate strategy, clinical informatics, information systems and clinical excellence.

Perfection for a Patient

Haelo’s rising blogging star has done it again! Kayleigh Price, Project Manager here at Haelo, has written a fantastic blog about coming to the end of a 90 day innovation cycle, working with intermediate care teams in Salford.

Haelo’s film team were out filming in Salford this week with Georgina Neild and Mark Foster from Salix Homes about the amazing community spirit in Broughton and the lasting effects of the Boxing Day floods. We can’t wait to see the final film – watch this space!

Haelo Hosts ’16
