New Film: Voices from the Frontline: Nurses on Death and Dying

As part of our series Voices from the Frontline: Nurses on Death and Dying documents front line nurses discussing the realities of palliative care. Nurses from Salford Royal Foundation Trust opened up about their training, the beginnings of their careers, the importance of mentoring, first experiences of dealing with a death and going the extra mile.

Make Your Data Sing!

Our Chief Executive, Maxine Power, attended the 28th IHI Annual National Forum on Quality Improvement in Health Care in Orlando, Florida.

The forum is the premier conference for people committed to the mission of improving health care. Maxine presented a workshop: Make Your Data Sing, jointly with Haelo Faculty Lloyd Provost, Statistician, Associates in Process Improvement. In her latest blog from the sunshine state, Maxine shows us how data provides insights to develop improvement strategies. hfc-fiIn June next year, a unique UK inter-agency Human Factors Conference, set underneath the wings of the iconic Concorde, will bring together professionals from Healthcare, Aviation and the Fire and Rescue Service.

Date: 22-23 June 2017 (Two day conference, complete with evening dinner)
Location: Runway Visitors Park, Manchester Airport.
Booking: Tickets will costs £250 and are due to go on sale late 2016.

Discounted tickets are limited to 75 spaces. General sale will resume when early bird tickets have sold out.

Endorsements secured so far include: Civil Aviation Authority and the Airport Operators Association. Confirmed accreditation includes: Royal College of Surgeons, Royal College of Anaesthetists and the Institution of Fire Engineers. IS4 Cohort 3 Applications are now open!

Building on the success of our IS4 portfolio, Haelo launched its flagship programme Improvement Science for Leaders (IS4L) in 2015. As a team based training programme in improvement science, IS4L includes a blend of face to face and web-based learning, improvement coaching and site

Participants will have access to international experts in the field of improvement and an opportunity to learn and share with like-minded colleagues. This programme is unique in inviting system leaders and four colleagues from their specialty area to work together on an improvement challenge.
