New Starter and Returning Staff!

We would like to extend a warm welcome to new and returning additions to the Haelo team; Bridget Aherne, Deputy Associate Director of Digital and Innovation (left) and Abi Harrison, Associate Director, Digital and Innovation (right). We’re very excited to have Abi back and Bridget on the team!

Diary From Down Under

Our Chief Executive, Professor Maxine Power, travelled to Australia for two weeks, equipped with a packed schedule to deliver innovation and improvement knowledge.

Maxine has been exchanging valuable insight and expertise, consulting with professionals, capturing best practice and has been sharing learning from right here in Salford, across 10,556 miles, to Sydney. Follow the IS4 Leaders

This week saw workshop 2 of the Improvement Science for Leaders programme at The Landing, Media City UK.

IS4 is Haelo’s flagship improvement programme, developed and delivered in partnership with the Manchester Academic Health Science Centre (MAHSC), NHS Quest and Manchester Cancer, a bespoke team based training programme in improvement science that includes a blend of web-based learning, improvement coaching and site visits.

Visitors from Canada!

On Monday and Tuesday this week, we were joined at Haelo HQ by international visitors from Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation – University of Toronto.

Professor Ross Baker, Program Lead, Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, Virginia Flintoft, MSc BN and Anne MacLaurin are on a UK wide tour to capture and share innovation and improvement knowledge.

Whilst at Haelo, the visitors learnt about Making Safety Visible, Safer Salford and had a ward visit at SRFT. Ross, Virginia and Anne also shared their innovation journey.
