Title: Safer Salford
Duration: April 2016 – March 2018
Haelo Involvement: Programme management and delivery
Partners: Salford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), Salford Together, Salford City Council, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust
Programme aim
Our shared ambition for Safer Salford is to be the safest health and social care system in the UK by 2022. This programme is a stepping stone to reaching that goal, with an aim to collaboratively test and produce a roadmap by 2018, to enable Salford to reach its goal.
Overview
Salford CCG commissioned Haelo to lead development and delivery of the Safer Salford programme (which sits in Salford Together’s Quality and Safety domain). The programme works with health and care partners from across Salford. Safer Salford will build on learning from the successful Making Safety Visible programme to ensure that the core principles of the “Measuring and Monitoring of Safety framework” (Vincent et al, 2013) are utilised across Salford.
