On 11-12 February 2015 Making Safety Visible Learning Session 1 takes place at The Village, Bury. Now fully booked, over 180 delegates from 11 organisations have booked to attend the learning session which is being run by Haelo.
Making Safety Visible is a board level programme that is aiming to increase the knowledge of boards around the measurement and monitoring of safety. It aims to help the organisations taking part become safer.
The programme is based around the ‘Measurement and Monitoring of Safety’ paper authored by Prof Charles Vincent, Susan Burnett and Dr Jane Carthey. Making Safety Visible is funded by The Health Foundation and aims to improve the capacity on the boards of the 22 organisations taking part.
There will be a number of speakers at the event including Prof Charles Vincent, Andrew Foster and Carl Macrae, and time devoted to active debate amongst the teams and a ‘World Cafe’ knowledge exchange session.
There will be a pre-dinner presentation by Dr Chris Brookes, Medical Director at both Wigan Warriors and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, with input from Wigan and England Rugby League international players Josh Charnley and Michael McLlorum.
Our live blog will be publishing all of the action from the event, keeping you up to date if you aren’t there and we will also be tweeting throughout from @_Haelo using #MakingSafetyVisible. Get involved in the debate by tweeting using #MakingSafetyVisible to get your views heard.
