We are pleased to announce the return of our two festivals – the Festival of Learning and Film Festival, both of which successfully took place for the first time last year.
Once, again our Festival of Learning will showcase the innovation and cutting edge improvement work being undertaken in Salford, regionally and nationally. Through tailored learning labs, our expert faculty will challenge your thinking and provide a stimulating platform of learning across varied topics.
These ticketed labs will provide a valuable insight into the world of improvement and the topics will offer something to everyone.
This learning lab, led by international improvement expert Lloyd Provost, will explore the history of improvement science; and then delve into the Theory of Profound Knowledge, material will be brought to life through breakout sessions, exercises and hearing case studies from friends of Haelo, doing excellent improvement work across the UK.

Tuesday 14th June 2016 and Wednesday 9 November 2016
The Festival of Learning will formally launch mid-May, when all sessions will become available to book.
The Haelo Film Festival will bring together like-minded people to celebrate film excellence. Held on the evening of Thursday 10th November 2016, at the prestigious Lowry, Salford Quays, Haelo Film Festival will showcase brilliant films about health and healthcare from across the world.
At the heart of the festival are the Haelo Film Festival Awards, made up of four categories for people making films to submit their work to. The judging panel will be made up of international experts in filmmaking and health. Prizes will be given to award winners.
We’re passionate about films, whether it’s making them ourselves or with partners, or being inspired by other people’s films, we believe they are the future of capturing and sharing knowledge. We know that lots of films are made about healthcare across the world every year and we want to celebrate this work.
The Film Festival will open for entries mid May. Find out what happened last year.
