On Thursday 19th May, delegates from cohort 3 of the Improvement Science for Academics (IS4Ac) attended their celebratory graduation event at The Landing, MediaCityUK.
IS4Ac is a Manchester Academic Health Science Centre (MAHSC) programme hosted by Haelo. The event saw ten teams from the IS4Ac programme present their improvement journey over the past 12 months. Together we celebrated the success of teams in developing improvement science knowledge and skills and delivering strategically important improvement projects throughout the MAHSC domains.
Professor Maxine Power, Haelo Chief Executive, alongside Professor Ian Greer, Director of MAHSC and Sir David Dalton, Domain Chair and Chief Executive at SRFT were on hand to congratulate the latest graduate from the expert programme. Dr Carl Macrae, Improvement Science Fellow from The Health Foundation addressed the group to discuss ‘moving improvement into practice and policy’.
Delegates also heard from Dr Leonard Ebah, CMFT, IS4Ac alumni as part of cohort 2. They were told what to expect next after the IS4Ac programme comes to a close but they were also challenged to take their improvement work, and knowledge, even further. You can read more about the day in the event blog which was taken live during the day.
